01 — Information Fixlist accesses

01 — Information Fixlist accesses

Fixlist is operated by Scale and Elevate Ltd (“Fixlist”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Fixlist requests limited, read-only access to Shopify product information required for store health and catalogue checks. This may include product titles, descriptions, status, types, vendors, tags, images and alt text, SEO titles and descriptions, variants, SKUs, barcodes, prices and compare-at prices, and availability or inventory-related product information. Fixlist uses this information to analyse a merchant’s product catalogue and identify possible issues or areas that may need attention. Fixlist does not request access to customer records, customer personal information, orders, payment card details, or checkout information.

02 — Merchant and account information

02 — Merchant and account information

When Fixlist is installed or accessed through Shopify, we may receive limited information associated with the authenticated Shopify user or store, such as Shopify store domain, Shopify user or account identifier, name, email address, locale or language information, authentication and session information, and app permissions granted to Fixlist. This information is used only where necessary to authenticate users, operate the app, provide support, maintain security, and associate scans and settings with the correct Shopify store.

03 — Information generated by Fixlist

03 — Information generated by Fixlist

When you use Fixlist, the app may store store scan results; the number and type of catalogue issues detected; scan history; issue status and completion information; Fixlist preferences and scan settings; subscription or plan status; and technical logs required for security, reliability, and troubleshooting. This enables scan history, marking issues as complete, re-scanning a store, and remembering app preferences.

04 — How we use information

04 — How we use information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to provide and operate Fixlist; analyse Shopify product catalogues; generate store health findings and action lists; allow merchants to track and verify completed fixes; maintain scan history and preferences; authenticate merchants securely through Shopify; process and verify app subscriptions through Shopify; respond to support requests; diagnose technical issues; protect the security and integrity of the service; and comply with legal and regulatory obligations. We do not sell merchant information or Shopify store data. We do not use Shopify merchant data for unrelated advertising.

05–06 — Customer data and Shopify billing

05–06 — Customer data and Shopify billing

Fixlist is designed to work with product catalogue information and does not require access to Shopify customer personal data. It does not intentionally collect personal information directly from a merchant’s customers through their storefront, or use storefront tracking technology to profile or monitor them. Paid Fixlist subscriptions are processed using Shopify’s billing system. Fixlist does not directly receive or store merchant payment card numbers or other full payment credentials used to pay Shopify charges. Shopify’s own privacy practices apply to information processed directly by Shopify.

07–08 — Service providers and data retention

07–08 — Service providers and data retention

We may use trusted service providers to operate technical infrastructure, including Shopify for authentication, APIs, app distribution, and billing, and Render for application hosting and database infrastructure. These providers may process limited information on our behalf where necessary and must handle it in accordance with applicable privacy and security requirements. We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Fixlist, maintain security and reliability, fulfil legal obligations, or resolve disputes. When a merchant uninstalls Fixlist, we remove associated app data in accordance with Shopify’s uninstall and mandatory privacy webhook processes. Limited technical or security records may be retained longer where required for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, backups, or legitimate business record keeping.

09–12 — Privacy requests, international processing, security, and rights

09–12 — Privacy requests, international processing, security, and rights

Fixlist supports Shopify’s mandatory privacy and data protection request mechanisms. Where Shopify sends an applicable deletion or privacy request, we process it in accordance with Shopify requirements and applicable law. Merchants may contact us directly regarding access, correction, deletion, or other privacy questions. Scale and Elevate Ltd may use service providers that process or store information in countries other than the merchant’s location; appropriate safeguards are used where required by law. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Fixlist uses Shopify authentication and never requires merchants to provide Shopify passwords directly. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. Depending on location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent, or make a complaint to an appropriate data protection authority; these rights may be subject to legal limitations or exceptions.
